Shanghai Guangmingcun Industrial Co., Ltd. Guangmingcun Grand Restaurant is located at 588 Huaihai Middle Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai. The history of Guangmingcun Grand Restaurant dates back 70 years, when it was known as Guangmingcun Dim Sum Shop, famous for its specialty noodles and pastries, and was a “designated supplier of traditional specialties for Shanghai Catering Company”. On October 29, 1956, Huaihai Canteen was established at the current site; in the third quarter of 1958, Luwan District Catering Service Company was founded; in January 1960, Huaihai Canteen became a state-owned unit, and the shop name was officially changed to Guangmingcun Dim Sum Shop. In line with the district government’s plan to develop Huaihai Middle Road into a thriving and elegant commercial street, and with approval from the relevant authorities, Guangmingcun Grand Restaurant was renovated. It closed for redevelopment on July 22, 1990, and was rebuilt as “Guangmingcun Grand Restaurant”. On December 29, 1993, it opened and officially adopted the name “Guangmingcun Grand Restaurant”.
