Custom Service Introduction

Originally native to Brazil, the pineapple was introduced to Macau by Portuguese traders during the late Ming Dynasty. Overseas Chinese later brought pineapple seedlings to Guangdong and Guangxi, helping expand cultivation in southern China. In 1926, Chinese immigrants returning from Southeast Asia introduced additional pineapple varieties to Xuwen, helping establish the region's vast pineapple farms. Today, Xuwen is widely known as the "Hometown of Pineapples in China."

Custom Information

Custom NotesTraditional pineapple varieties naturally contain bromelain, an enzyme that may cause mild mouth irritation. To reduce this, soak the cut pineapple in lightly salted water for about 10 minutes before eating. Some modern pineapple varieties are naturally low in bromelain and can be enjoyed without soaking.
