Day 1: Arrival pick-up — Northern route of West Lake — Stay in Hangzhou
After arriving on the first day, enjoy a pick-up service and take a relaxed walk along the northern route of West Lake. Visit lakeside sights linked with romantic stories, including Broken Bridge, Bai Causeway and Xiling Bridge. See the ancient Baochu Pagoda from afar, then check in to your hotel in Hangzhou.
Day 2: Suzhou Lingering Garden — Hanshan Temple — Wuzhen Xizha
Drive to Suzhou and take time to appreciate the thoughtful design of the Lingering Garden, one of China’s four great gardens. Visit the poetic thousand-year-old Hanshan Temple. As night falls, head to Wuzhen and immerse yourself in the sparkling water town night views of Wuzhen Xizha. Stay overnight near Wuzhen.
Day 3: Yanguan tide watching / Xitang photoshoot — Lingyin Feilai Peak — Hefang Street — Stay in Hangzhou
The experience varies by season: during the tide season, head to Yanguan to see the magnificent Qiantang River tidal bore; outside the tide-viewing season, stroll through the ancient-style town of Xitang and enjoy an atmospheric Hanfu outfit change and travel photoshoot. Afterwards, return to Hangzhou, visit Lingyin Feilai Peak to experience the Zen atmosphere of the grottoes, wander along lively Hefang Street, then check in to your Hangzhou hotel to rest.
Day 4: Maojiabu — Shangxiang Ancient Trail — Return from Hangzhou
Explore the hidden West Lake spot of Maojiabu, walk along the quiet, natural Shangxiang Ancient Trail, and take in a different ink-wash view of West Lake. After the tour ends, return from Hangzhou to your onward destination. This one-stop journey brings together Suzhou and Hangzhou’s gardens, Zen charm, water town nights, and lake and mountain scenery.
