A classic garden-style residential district in Shanghai, mainly featuring detached garden villas and new-style lilong lanes. Lined with plane trees and home to many former residences of notable figures, Xinhua Road has been designated as a road that will never be widened and represents the low-density, high-end residential areas of western Shanghai.
