About This Place
Located in Changning District, Qinglu Academy Incense Culture Hall was founded by Mr. Wu Qing, a representative inheritor of Shanghai’s intangible cultural heritage project "Literati Incense Art". It is a comprehensive intangible cultural heritage preservation organization integrating the protection of traditional literati incense-making techniques, R&D and innovation, production and sales, educational experiences, and public education. The hall fully preserves the essence of traditional ancient incense-making methods, keeps key processes handmade, and develops several series of cultural and creative incense products. It has obtained multiple national patents, holds more than 70 cultural events a year on average, and is open to the public free of charge year-round.
