The Wang Xiaohui Art Museum is Shanghai’s first digital image art museum. Founded by Wang Xiaohui, a Germany-based interdisciplinary artist, it officially opened to the public in August 2022. The building’s exterior uses red and white as its main colors, with the landmark giant red lips installation “Kiss of Art” (originally part of the Shanghai Grand Theatre collection) as its visual focus. The interior design blends art and technology, with a “breathing” environmental system that includes negative ion air purification and fresh-air filtration, creating a comfortable setting for viewing exhibitions.
