Shanghai Children's Museum

About This Place

Shanghai Children's Museum opened on 29 May 1996 and was the first specialized museum in China for children aged 3–10. Located in the southeastern part of the Soong Ching Ling Mausoleum, it reflects Soong Ching Ling’s ideas of “creating the future” and “giving the most precious things to children.” While staying true to the core qualities of a children’s museum, it has carried the mission of passing on Soong Ching Ling’s approach to children’s education and showcasing local cultural characteristics since its founding.
