Xinhua Road Historic and Cultural Area

A classic garden-style residential district in Shanghai, characterized mainly by detached garden villas and modern lilong lanes, with streets lined by plane trees and a concentration of former residences of notable figures. Xinhua Road is designated as a road that will never be widened, and the area represents the low-density, high-end residential character of western Shanghai.

Boundaries: north to Fahuazhen Road, south to Huaihai West Road, west to Dingxi Road, and east to Huashan Road.
