This tea is one of China’s Top Ten Famous Teas, produced in West Lake, Hangzhou—often called a paradise on earth. About 60,000 tea buds are pan-fired to make every 500 grams of dry tea, and production is extremely limited. Globally, only about 500 grams are available for every 10,000 people to enjoy. The 250g West Lake Longjing tea sold at Lufthansa Mall uses multiple anti-counterfeiting and authenticity-protection technologies on its outer packaging, and is jointly signed for authenticity by Shi Bipeng, one of the drafters of the national industry standard for West Lake Longjing Tea and a Chinese tea-making master, together with a lecture professor of tea science courses at Zhejiang University.
